Dad's toxicology tests baffle doctors in Marin, San Francisco, and at Stanford
Three prominent doctors in the San Francisco Bay Area made three different diagnosis as Dad began to feel increasing ill following Mom's visit to San Francisco. Blood tests and infectious disease reports came back with conflicting conclusions.
Mom was suspiciously certain none of these conclusions were correct. Dad was "mentally ill" and "using drugs" and needed "help."
Dr. Raphael Stryker of San Francisco diagnosed Dad with Lyme disease.
Dr. Jose Montoya of Stanford diagnosed Dad with Chronic Fatigue syndrome, and
Dr. Christine Schaffner in Marin's tests showed a depressed immune system and a range of emergent infections from Lyme to Babesia to the Epstein Barr virus.
